Since 1993, the Merck Institute of Science Education has been working to improve science education in public schools.  Our long-standing partnership with local school districts in New Jersey and Pennsylvania has enabled us to work closely with educators and to support teachers and administrators as they create rich and rewarding learning environments for their students.  Our work has been recognized as exemplary by both state and national organizations:  MISE Executive Director, Dr. Carlo Parravano, has spoken of MISE's success before the US House of Representatives and was invited by the Obama Administration to participate in a roundtable on improving student achievement in mathematics and science.
