Program Evaluations
The Merck Institute has contracted with the Consortium for Policy
Research in Education (CPRE) to conduct both formative and summative
evaluations of the Institute's work. For the years 1994 through 2001,
CPRE assessed the work of the Institute using a range of measurable
criteria: student performance and course selection; quality of
professional development; and changes in classroom teaching, school
culture and district policy. Executive summaries for the reports are
available through the web links below, as is the complete report for
2000-2001. Hard copies of the annual reports may be ordered through
CPRE. You may email your request to CPRE at cpre@gse.upenn.edu. Include
the title of the requested document and the shipping address. You may
also telephone CPRE to request the report you require; phone
(215) 573-0700, ext. 1, for Publications.
